FAQs

| Q | What can I expect in a course? |
| A | In the Foundation Course you will be taught the basic asanas (postures),
including standing poses, sitting poses and restorative poses. In the General Course you will be taught intermediate asanas, including balancing poses and inversions. In the Restorative Course, you will be taught rejuvenating poses, where the holdings are longer and the poses are supported. The asanas will be given their Sanskrit names and English translation where available. You will be taught to use yoga props, such as belts, blocks, bolsters and blankets to help you achieve the postures in a safe manner and to the best of your ability. |
| Q | Do I need to bring anything? |
| A | All the yoga equipment, including mats, is provided. |
| Q | Can I eat before a class? |
| A | Yoga should always be practised on an empty stomach, so leave 3 hours after a main meal or 2 hours after a snack. |
| Q | What should I wear? |
| A | Wear clothes that do not restrict your movement in any way. Most people wear shorts or leggings and a T-shirt. Avoid baggy clothing as this obscures alignment and can get in the way of your practice. Yoga is practised in bare feet. |
| Q | Can I practise yoga if I have an injury or a health problem? |
| A | Discuss with Judith before you enrol in a course. |
| Q | Can I practise yoga if I am pregnant? |
| A | Yes, but Judith's classes are not suitable. It is best you enrol in a pre-natal course. |
| Q | Is there anything else I need to know? |
| A | Ensure you switch your mobile phone off before the class starts! |
